Welcome to the Summit County Pine Beetle Task Force web site. This site is designed to serve as a resource for people to learn more about the pine beetle epidemic facing our mountain community.
Our goal is to assist property owners, property owners associations and property management companies on ways to prevent the spread of pine beetle while mitigating the increased danger of wildfire.
We can't eliminate the Pine Beetle but we can work together to protect our most important forest assets and to protect ourselves from the potentially devastating economic and environmental effects that it will have if left unchecked.
